Associate, Office of the CEO at Checkout.com

Checkout.com is looking for an Associate to join our Office of the CEO, reporting to the Chief of Staff. This is a highly cross-functional role, you’ll work closely with all departments across our global offices and work on some of the highest priority topics for Checkout.com.

    About you:

This role will suit a systems-thinker who is highly numerate, an outstanding communicator (both written and verbal) and who demonstrates strong empathy and emotional intelligence.

The ideal candidate might have prior experience in investment banking, strategy consulting or venture capital, but regardless will demonstrate an authentic interest in start-ups, technology or entrepreneurship – perhaps by having worked at an early stage business, started their own venture or learned how to code.

You’ll be the person who spots the single spelling mistake in a 100-page document, can produce a brilliant presentation, quickly analyse large datasets and quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people – all whilst juggling 20 other small tasks in a single day!

You can work quickly and precisely when the pressure is on and you’ll instinctively know how to prioritise. You’ll listen, be able to read between the lines and decode the problem. You’ll also have a strategic mindset but be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the mundane tasks done. You take true ownership and when you say you’ll deliver, you’ll make sure you do. At the same time, you aren’t here to be in the spotlight, you’ll be humble and hungry and you believe in adding value by empowering others around you and putting Checkout.com first. You’re a true team player.

You’ll have a strong sense of ethics and integrity and understand the importance of confidentiality.

Yes, we might be looking for a unicorn, but we know that some of you are out there. Just as we expect a lot from you, you can expect a lot from us – we’ll ensure you’re learning every single day with truly exceptional exposure to one of the most exciting companies of our generation.

    Requirements:

      • Previous experience in banking, consulting or a similar role
      • Excellent data analysis skills
      • Deep interest in people and teams
      • Keen interest in technology, fintech or start-ups
      • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent intuition and empathy
      • Ability to learn quickly
      • An energetic and collaborative attitude
      • Willing to go the extra mile
      • If you don’t meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role, please apply anyway. We’re always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.
