MuleSoft’s Professional Services team works across every technology to deliver solutions to customers in every industry. As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) on our Services team, you will play a key role in our Professional Services practice growth. MuleSoft is the leader in implementing the application network by connecting data, devices, and applications and we are pursuing people passionate about integration that enables digital transformation.

As a BSA, you will be responsible for understanding clients’ needs in order to determine how MuleSoft’s platform addresses the business problem at hand. BSA will be responsible for elicitation and documentation of integration requirements that are aligned with MuleSoft’s design, architecture, and implementation. Furthermore, BSA will be working closely with Solution Architects (SA) and Delivery Managers (DM) to ensure that provided requirements are sufficient to assess the level of effort and design solutions for use cases in scope.

Below are some of the responsibilities that you will carry out in your role as BSA:

  • Gain an understanding of client’s environment and vision leveraging expertise around industry and business demand
  • Understand the business process and use cases and translate them into integration solution
  • Elicit integration requirements with SA’s input
  • Facilitate requirements walkthrough
  • Document requirements and system interfaces in an easily consumable format
  • Support requirement prioritization and scope alignment
  • Facilitate sign-off to ensure alignment and obtain confirmation of integration requirements
  • Work with DM to align solution vision to KPIs and corresponding metrics
  • Play a key role in functional testing of the solution, making sure the KPIs and metrics are achieved.

What You’ll Achieve

First 3 months

  • Complete Mulesoft training including our Mulesoft products, Catalyst methodologies for Services implementations, and services offerings
  • Complete BSA training, including Facilitation, Requirements Overview, and Integration Requirements for API-Led
  • Complete training to understand the role of each Mulesoft team included in Services engagements – Customer Success, Engagement Management and Account Team
  • Learn the Center for Enablement (C4E) methodology for implementing organizational change management jointly with our clients
  • Start working on one or more billable client engagements

First 12 months

  • Work on several projects as a BSA
  • Independently produce high-quality BSA deliverables
  • Collaborate with SA and DM, as well as the client’s Business Analysis and technical team to make sure that the MuleSoft solution meets the client’s needs
  • Continue expansion of knowledge for Mulesoft products and integration solutions
  • Identify opportunities for client expansion by collaborating with the Account Team
  • Contribute to the BSA methodology, expand and mature the practice

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree or industry equivalent
  • Proven track record of working in medium to large-size IT organizations with multiple IT stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating requirements elicitation sessions with multiple stakeholders
  • The experience created requirements documentation
  • Working knowledge and experience with waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Ability to work in collaboration with a client’s business and technical teams to lead MuleSoft discovery
  • Experience and track record of being part of large projects with formal methodologies for the project and/or sprint plans
  • Proven ability to identify client expansion opportunities
  • Leadership skills utilized to partner with Customer Success, Engagement Management and the Account Team to optimize client outcomes
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills including individual and small group presentations
  • English and Spanish advanced are mandatory
