About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Specialized Industries Technology Banking Group banks and finances venture capital backed companies in the United States. We focus on companies from pre-revenue/seed stage through initial public offering.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Relationship Manager to expand our New York technology banking team. This individual will focus on the Internet/Digital sector, with an emphasis on E-Commerce companies. This senior level relationship manager position is focused on acquiring new business relationships and deepening an existing portfolio of clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive revenue generation across Wells Fargo’s platform by proactively identifying new credit and non-credit opportunities for new and existing clients.
  • Handle all aspects of originating, structuring, and executing bank lending and other credit related products.
  • Work very closely with our asset-based lending Retail Finance team.
  • Coordinate transactions with our credit, treasury management, FX, investment banking, capital markets, and asset-based lending groups.
  • Perform financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral.
  • Identify and qualify top prospects in the market and then introduce them to our firm and our unique capabilities.
  • Partner with existing clients to ensure we are helping them meet their current and future needs.
  • Develop trusted relationships at the operational, c-suite, and board of director levels.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market news, and emerging technology.
  • Represent our team in the market by hosting unique events, networking with influencers, and attending conferences.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Fundamental knowledge of the E-Commerce ecosystem, asset-based lending, and retail finance.
  • Extensive relationships with technology companies, venture capital firms, non-bank lenders, and service providers.
  • Strong credit analysis skills, with a preference for formal credit training.
  • Deep understanding of commercial banking products and services.
  • History of consistently exceeding sales goals.
  • Track record growing a portfolio, while also appropriately balancing risk management.

Job Expectations:

  • Series 63 and Series 79 licenses. If you do not have these licenses, you will be required to obtain them within a certain period.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Pay Range

$133,300.00 – $237,100.00 Annual
