In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within the Public Sector market segments.
The successful candidate will identify partnerships for collaboration and drive customer engagement to build a strong sales pipeline and strategic opportunities for assigned accounts.
Key job responsibilities
This individual should be able to develop and execute a territory sales business plan and be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker with IT sales experience. The candidate should have a successful track record of meeting sales targets and a passion for developing new accounts. Other responsibilities include:
Develop long-term strategic partnerships in Public Sector customers.
Shape and define goals and success metrics, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services with the Public Sector
Assist customer in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services and ensure they are successfully using our web services with the technical resources required.
Formulate tactical plans with priorities to exceed revenue and strategic goals.
Support the execution of the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. SA, Business Desk, Capture, Partner teams)
Nurture opportunities and fill pipeline by active engagement with prospects, partners and key customers
Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customers.
Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers.
The Account Manager will have significant domain expertise within the software technology industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of ownership, drive and enthusiasm. Other requirements are:
At least 10 years of experience handling territory breadth segment of public sector, education institutions, and nonprofit and associations in the Singapore market.
Demonstrate achievements in managing sales and exceeding targets
Good understanding of the Singapore Government procurement process and contract vehicles
Positive, proactive problem solver and self-motivated with sense of urgency and follow-through
Excellent communication and writing skills
