Position Summary:

This position will provide highly confidential operational management, strategy, and support for the Company’s Investor Relations function. The IR Lead will have considerable interaction with all management levels, including the various officers across the Company as well as key stakeholders outside the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining our investor engagement strategy, including with active holders and an active investor targeting strategy.
  • Establish and maintain effective long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the investment community both the sell and buy side
  • Assist the Lead of Investor Relations in the execution of analyst and investor events from inception to completion, and post event feedback. These events include office visits, non-deal road shows, roadshows, investor days, annual meetings, and ship tours.
  • Responsible for pro-actively developing and managing the calendar for the year including earnings calls and prep work, conferences, corporate office visits, and all investor meetings.
  • Responsible for the financial planning, management, and reporting of the departments budget ($1M+), including accruals and cost control initiatives. Assist the VP, IR with all vendor management as it relates to billing, policy, and invoice processing and management.
  • Strategically plans effective roadshow calendar with IR to reach KPIs such as mix of long/short investors, global mix of investors, etc. Responsible for managing the investor CRM (customer relationship management tool) actively documenting all communications and meetings. Responsible to analyze the investor base to identify trends, concerns, opportunities and present strategies and action plans.
  • Entrusted to exchange highly confidential information, including public filings, with select external parties and exercise good judgement as a representative of the IR role during all communications with the investment community. Utmost discretion is critical given the regulated environment of IR.
  • Leads the annual RFP process for key suppliers including the investor relations website, Annual report, proxy, and Annual General Meeting. Establish a project plan with the selected vendor that establishes key milestones and deadlines for deliverables. Work cross-departmentally to gather the content and creative needed for the final product and ensure the final document is accurate and delivered on time and on budget.
  • Spearheads surveillance of industry activities to ensure management team is apprised of the latest intelligence
  • Manages the timing, coordination, and acquisition of all materials for quarterly earnings calls with all key constituents and outside vendors to ensure all logistics transpire seamlessly including web hosting services, tele-conference, call recording, transcripts.
  • Lead projects and provide recommendations on both a regular and ad hoc basis, including website and investor database development and updates.
  • Leads the development of investor messaging and communications, including development of investor presentations, investor website, and other creative channels including digital, video, and social.
  • Balance needs for administrative assistance, as required including calendar and meeting management, travel, and expenses.
  • Compile information for various reports (monthly reports, executive management presentations, legal), performing analysis as necessary.
  • Provides regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) executive updates on investor engagement and outreach, quantity and quality of investor meetings, group meetings, 1:1s, non-deal road shows, and conferences.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years in Investor Relations required.
  • Experience with global/international organizations, analytical, and commercial skills (sales) will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management, including executives and handle multiple priorities/tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of NASDAQ and IPREO proprietary databases a plus. Process oriented and relationship minded essential.
