Client Service Specialist

Summary:

This position interacts with customers and employees as the first point of contact at EPIC Midwest Indianapolis to provide requested information. This role will also assist with other projects as needed by different business lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to Account Coordinators and Account Managers in the processing of commercial lines insurance policies
  • Entering and reviewing information in the agency management system
  • Requesting and processing policy change requests
  • Issuing certificates of insurance, evidence of property insurance, and auto identification cards
  • Processing of audits, endorsements, cancellations, and other non-renewal items including checking/verifying coverages and entering complete detail into Sagitta
  • Assisting with the renewal marketing process
  • Backup to the incoming and outgoing mail
  • Covering the front desk during the lunch hour
  • Researching and resolving customer inquiries as it relates to policyholder maintenance
  • Completing special projects for accounts as assigned by the Account Coordinator, Account Manager, or Service Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; College degree is a plus
  • Prior customer service, office administration, and/or insurance experience is required; prior commercial lines insurance experience a plus
  • A current Indiana Property & Casualty license is necessary or must be willing and able to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products
  • Previous Agency Management systems experience a plus, Vertafore/ Sagitta preferred
  • Previous Document Imaging systems experience a plus, Vertafore/ImageRight preferred
  • Must be detail oriented, excel in a fast-paced environment, able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency and have excellent customer service skills
