Title: Associate Account Manager

Location: Fair Lawn, NJ, Mt. Laurel, NJ, Melville, NY or remote in Northeast may apply. 

Position Overview:  Assist Senior Account Managers on a daily basis on renewal activities, proposals, endorsements and other duties as requested, to work closely with our Senior Account Managers in Large Commercial to support our largest commercial clients.

Critical Job Functions:

  • Complete and format renewal proposals, inputting quotes, calculating rate and exposure changes
  • Create ACORD applications with updated exposures and formalize submissions
  • Complete full wrap up of renewals including, binding instructions to underwriters, invoice renewals, complete Excess & Surplus Lines forms and set follow ups for receipt of the renewal policies.
  • Create pre-renewal documents for clients and producers on upcoming renewal which include blank applications, copies of previously submitted applications, loss runs, Schedule of Insurance and Premium and Loss Summary.
  • Create detailed loss run and premium summary comparisons
  • Create standardized templates to facilitate coverage reviews
  • Prepare detailed Schedules of Insurance, review and compare against current policies for accuracy.
  • Prepare WC Experience Modification calculations and reviews
  • High level accounting and finance reviews including multi-client and multi-producer billing, account reconciliation and special invoicing
  • Support account managers in policy checking process, including full policy checking process and/or work with Patra on policy checking
  • Perform other related support duties as requested.
  • Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards.
  • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Two to three years prior Commercial insurance experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and instructions from multiple Account Managers.
  • Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving ability using creative, logical and analytical approaches.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Preferred
  • Broker’s License is required

Technology: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and relevant company proprietary databases

Travel:

  • Occasional travel as required for mandatory meetings, educational classes and client meeting
