Responsibilities :
The Associate Principal Sourcing partner is a critical member of the Statistical Programming team within the Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) organization. While reporting to the BARDS functional sourcing Head, the Associate Principal Sourcing Partner will jointly work with sourcing partners and statistical programming managers to support the department’s partnership management and sourcing needs.

The Associate Principal Sourcing Partner will maintain a catalog of sourcing vendors and their resources and track resource movement based on business reasons. The individual will coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of partner staff in collaboration with managers, vendors, admins, and initiate Workday transactions, monitor training compliance. The Associate Principal Sourcing Partner will leverage technologies and automation to manage partner performance. The Associate Principal Sourcing Partner will lead and be a member of departmental and strategic teams.

The position is a key collaborator with statistics, statistical programming, Procurement, administrative staff, relationship manager, IT, Vendors, and other project stakeholders to gather KPIs and track deliverables. For assigned projects, the position serves as the Sourcing partner contact and knowledge holder.

Education and Minimum Requirement :

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, or related field plus 9-12 years of working experience in a clinical trial environment
  • MA/MS in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, or related field plus more than 7 years of working experience in a clinical trial environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with managing multiple projects and deliverables at a time
  • A leader completes tasks independently at a project level; ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work across cultures, flexible with work hours to work with Partners in Asia and the EU

Position Specific Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in resource Management and relationship management, including the development and management of dashboards using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar package
  • Demonstrated experience working with functional sourcing partners
  • Strategic thinking – ability to turn strategy into tactical activities; Ability to analyze operational activities and identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder requirements
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical development processes, including clinical trials
  • Working knowledge of statistical programming languages, including SAS or R programming, is a plus
  • Ability to learn internal processes and SOPs quickly and effectively
  • Ability to identify constant process improvements and efficiency gains from partners
  • Interest in advancing career by investing in development activities and taking on tasks with increasing levels of challenge and responsibility

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Candidates have successfully ensured deliverable quality and process compliance, working knowledge of analysis and reporting processes.
  • Active in professional societies
  • Experience in process improvement
