Senior Manager, Bbot Account Management S&O

DoorDash

At DoorDash, our mission is to empower local economies.

About the Team

Founded in 2017, Bbot is a merchant-first technology company that builds order-and-pay software designed to improve the guest ordering experience and take the burden off hospitality operators like you.

On the brink of contactless technology, Bbot has been the leader in order and pay solutions and continues to use technology to improve the guest experience. Fast forward to 2022, now powered by the category leader in last-mile logistics, DoorDash (read more here!), we’re excited to bring these solutions to many new markets soon!

About the Role

Bbot, powered by DoorDash is looking for an Account Management Strategy & Operations Senior Manager to implement strategic programs that enhance the experience merchants have throughout their life cycle on our platform, as well as the efficiency of their onboarding. You’ll work cross-functionally between our sales, partner management, operations, product, and analytics teams to build a delightful experience for our merchants.

Our Account Management team lies at the heart and soul of Bbot, ensuring that we set all of our merchants up for success by providing a seamless onboarding, menu, and photo experience. As Bbot grows both in scale and range of offering, the strength of our Account Management engine must grow with it.

As an early leader of the Account Management S&O team, you’ll discover and improve performance across the Merchant Services & Account Management organization and build the foundation for it to grow. This will include developing plans to grow the quantity and quality of the merchant services we offer, strategic projects to enhance productivity, process redesign, product roadmap and launches, and resource allocation. You will sit at the intersection of our revenue generation engine and our teams and will require prioritization and data-driven insights to ensure our team is working against the right goals and has the tools needed to achieve them.

You will report to the Director of Bbot Account Management in our Bbot & Storefront organization. Once our offices reopen in 2023, we expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Strategize – Create plans against the Merchant Services strategy of building a seamless onboarding, menu, and photo experience that delights merchants
  • Operate – Implement programs across process, product, and people to move the numbers
  • Experiment – Use data-driven insights to run process improvement tests
  • Analyze – Build models/process flows to evaluate quantitative and qualitative business cases for process improvement opportunities
  • Influence – Manage cross-functional projects with our sales, partner management, operations, product, engineering, and business operations teams to improve the merchant experience and achieve targets

 We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 8+ years of experience in strategy and operations or consulting; direct management experience, high-growth startup experience is advantageous
  • You have experience leading cross-functional projects and hitting goals
  • You can make relevant recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL is advantageous
  • You always look for ways to improve and want to shape the direction of the company
  • You can motivate people at all levels across the organization
  • You can translate high-level goals into relevant plans
  • You have robust interpersonal skills
  • Restaurant experience is part of your previous experience, but it’s certainly not required
