Manager, Global Strategic Finance


Reporting to the Director, Global Strategic Finance, the Manager of Global Strategic Finance will fill a key role within the Finance organization with primary responsibility for the long and short range strategic/financial planning, business scenario modeling and benchmarking, CFO/CEO driven analytical requests and “C” suite presentation build. This position is focused on Asurion’s Americas region, a priority area for the business.

In partnership with other members of the Global Strategic Finance team, the candidate will develop fact-based, long-range and short-range modeling capabilities, utilizing current business trends and relevant KPI/metrics. The candidate will serve as a key point-of-contact for Americas forecasting and will be responsible for providing on-going business analyses and commentary. The ideal candidate will have exceptional financial competence, strong business acumen, executive presence and leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of financial modeling tools and techniques, critical thinking proficiency and exceptional communication skills. The candidate must be customer centric and be able to balance the demands of a rapidly growing, complex entrepreneurial environment where ingenuity, rather than precedence, drives activity across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Create, maintain and improve company financial models, including the Americas monthly top-down forecast model
    • Drive and influence monthly top-down forecast deliverables providing insight into developing trends, changes within the business, and highlighting potential risk and opportunity scenarios as they emerge
    • Provide Senior Leadership with forward-looking information to assist with their decision-making responsibilities
    • Support CFO driven analytical requests and presentation builds for messaging key strategic direction and scenario alternatives in order to drive enterprise leadership engagement and decision making, as well as Board level presentations
    • Inform and partner with Finance teams to ensure the execution of key deliverables, communicate expectations of upcoming activities, and provide deep dive information for ad-hoc request
    • Leverage financial modeling to evaluate the economics surrounding our existing and new businesses, strategic investments, and to development “what if” scenario analysis
    • Assist in special projects / strategic growth initiative assessments and financial modelling for Senior Leadership
    • Assist on data gathering and support activities related to investor transactions and reporting as needed

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

    • BA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or related field. MBA viewed favorably
    • 3-5 years of financial analysis experience working directly in Investment Banking, Strategic Finance, Consulting and / or Corporate Finance
    • Exceptional financial modeling skills with great attention to detail and ability to distill complex issues into structured, actionable frameworks that are efficient, scalable and intuitive
    • Strong analytical skills, inquisitive nature, meticulous attention to detail, diligence. Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to summarize financial data into clear and concise recommendations for Executive decision making
    • Self-directed team member with excellent ability to guide through ambiguity, adapts readily and easily to changes in priorities and business conditions and can deliver with minimal supervision
    • Thorough commitment to meet deadlines, continuous improvement and results
    • Can successfully collaborate with all administration levels, develop relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and encourage results through impact.
    • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with financial systems, such Oracle Hyperion and/or OneStream a plus
