Job summary
The 3P Finance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support our NA 3P business. The 3P business includes Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) and Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) related services that Amazon offers Sellers. With Sellers contributing to over 50% of Amazon’s online sales, the 3P business is integral to Amazon’s ability to deliver on its goal of offering a vast selection of products at low prices to customers.

To support this rapidly growing business, we are looking for the “next generation” of great Finance talent to collaborate with multiple business and finance teams to increase financial understanding, improve current processes, deliver overall results, work hard, have fun, and make history.

The successful candidate will be a self-starting contributor with effective business partnership experience and proven abilities to manage complex projects and dive deep into the details when needed. This person will partner with finance and business leaders across several teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support.

Key job responsibilities

• Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel
• Drive core financial processes for the NA 3P business including month end close, Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
• Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on revenue and cost structure changes
• Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives
• Own and deliver automation across our financial and operational reporting packages
• Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is timely and accurate

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
• 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA preferred
• Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and Cognos
• Pricing and/or Supply Chain experience
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
• Ability to analyze financials, deep dive into data sets and provide innovative recommendations to management and business partners
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
