Job summary
AWS Sales Finance seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to lead strategic initiatives on resource investment and P&L management for North Americas Sales org.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead the global project of resource investment with insights into Sales Productivity, making recommendation to Sales VP;
- Lead Sales P&L project by providing financial acumen and expertise to Product and Tech team;
- Mentor junior members on automation projects and turning data into insights on BI tools;
- Provide analytical analysis on top line by diving deep into key revenue items such as usage, pricing and discount
- Represent North America finance to share best practices with other Geo teams in Europe and Asia.
This role requires strong ability to dive deep while keeping big picture in mind. Successful candidate should also demonstrate high level of diligence, independence and cross-functional collaborations.
Key job responsibilities
Build and scale processes to optimize Sales resource investment by working cross-functionally with Sales Field Finance, Sales Ops, BI and Product team; Provide data driven recommendation during annual planning. Leverage Sales P&L to drive actionable insights and surface risks and opportunities to Sales VP.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Knowledge in ERP systems such as TM1 and Oracle Financials
- Prior experience using SQL or Tableau/Quicksight
- Ability to quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers
- Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
