Responsibilities
Perform, review and analyze finance functions.
- Perform accountant duties for firm finance
- Analyze monthly financial statements
- Oversee Billing Function
- Coordinate Commission Process
- Prepare Ad-hoc research/reports
Support and enhance the business unit and firm operations.
- Assist with the implementation of finance operating plans and best processes initiatives to support the one-firm concept
- Identify opportunities for personal and firm improvement
- Provide support to partners and managers in regards to finance matters to support business unit objectives and growth
Lead and Develop Team
- Train new staff, coach and mentor current staff
- Manage workflow of finance department staff
- Work with team to create best processes and efficiencies for tasks
Maintain and expand knowledge base in areas of responsibility
- Comply with continuing education requirements; participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state and federal practices and laws; evaluate and advise on the impact of new related strategies, programs, and/or regulatory actions
- Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate
Other duties as assigned
- Participate in special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping required.
- Ability to work independently with technical competence.
- Demonstrated problem solving, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication and solid Microsoft Suite skills (Excel) required.
- Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, maintain confidentiality, display appropriate ethical knowledge.
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to quality and timely completion of projects.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, as well as ability to follow directions / procedures required, as well as work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with frequent interruptions.
