Meta is seeking an Accounting Analyst, who can move fast and learn quickly to help establish new processes and scale existing processes for our fast-growing CapEx investment portfolio in the area of rack and server investment. You should be able to work well with cross functional teams, provide accounting and process guidance for decision making, as well as being able to manage and own the end-to-end operational, close, and reporting processes for the subject areas. The successful candidate will be a highly driven, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.
Infrastructure Accountant, Foundation Responsibilities:
- Perform month end close duties, including record compilation, preparation of manual and system automated journal entries, process financial transactions in general ledgers and sub-ledgers, result analytics, account reconciliations, and internal and external reporting as needed.
- Participate in process improvements and other IT system improvements to help the business scale for future growth.
- Reach conclusions with an adequate level of rationale and documentation for review and then communicate and present the accounting conclusions to the team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Infrastructure Business Partners in order to understand the broader business objectives.
- Own some of our key SOX controls as well as providing input for audits performed by business partners, internal auditors and external auditors.
- Understand how systems work to drive improvements and automation. Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience of financial statements auditing, cost accounting, financial accounting or similar experience
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Technical and operational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience in optimizing or designing new and existing processes
- Experience in system implementation to support fast-growing business
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CA
- Big 4 audit experience
- Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion
- Experience with supply chain or heavy operations businesses
