We are in search for a Finance Analyst to provide support to our Finance, Sales and Trade Analytics Operations teams in our Personal Health business group. This position is in the Philips Canada corporate office located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Your solid finance & accounting experience and technical skills will be critical for you to bring insights into planning, forecasting and business decision sup- port. You are committed to the idea of continuous improvement and will happily collaborate with others to resolve issues that cut across teams.

You are responsible for

Trade Spend Finance

Collaborates with the Accounting Controller when trade accounts are not cleared correctly as well as the Trade Analytics Operations lead when discrepancies between SAP and Sub systems arise

Pricing

Ensure that accurate pricing is maintained in key systems (JDA, SAP, Salsify) Support business and finance department on pricing maintenance, process excellence and ad-hoc reporting

Accounts Receivable/Payable

We operate with Centres of Excellence that support AP/AR functions.

The candidate will act as a local resource for problem solving any issues arising from exceptions. Create Purchase Orders for various corporate vendors and book monthly accruals for operational cost drivers

Corporate Accounting

Work with various cost center owners and assist in consolidating the annual budgets for corporate costs. Track actual costs during the year and work with Center of Excellence to allocate costs to businesses.

Other

Support the maintenance of a reliable system of internal controls over financial reporting to adequately safeguard the company’s assets. Actively look for cost savings opportunities and process improvements within the various processes. Assist the Controller with any projects / activities as required.

You are part of

Reporting to the Controller, this individual is an integral part of the Personal Health finance team and is responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative analysis on pricing maintenance and spending.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • University graduate; a CPA/CMA/MBA designation or in progress is a plus
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; experience in operational finance, corporate finance, business decision support, and internal managerial reporting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with good understanding of accounting principles and practices Desire and ability to build new organizational competencies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Highly motivated team player and self-starter with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task with flexibility, drive, and to collaboratively problem solve, with a strong results orientation demeanor.
  • Strong technical skills, including Excel (pivot tables, model building, model auditing).
  • ERP systems
