The impact you’ll make:
We are seeking an Audit Manager to join Internal Audit to support our Global SOX program management. In this role, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the company’s assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of the internal controls that support financial reporting. In addition, you will also leverage risk and control knowledge, in order to provide insightful recommendations improving the design and effectiveness of the control environment.
As part of Internal Audit, you will also contribute to the timely completion of the global audit plan and execution of Department strategic initiatives to advance Internal Audit programs.
What you’ll do:
- As a member of the global SOX PMO, partner with stakeholders to direct the execution of an efficient and compliant testing strategy of key controls for the company’s annual assessment
- Assist with the annual SOX scoping exercise using both quantitative and qualitative considerations
- Partner with the stakeholders in identifying and evaluating risks, establishing mitigation and control plans, and understanding cross functional control impacts
- Communicate program status, results (control deficiencies), recommendations, and other key messages to a variety of stakeholders, including the Global SOX Steering Committee
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure effective communication and resolution of internal control matters
- Support risk assessment processes to identify current and emerging risks for the development of the annual audit plan
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of the Internal Audit department by recommending and developing innovative audit approaches and process improvements (e.g. use of data analytics, agile audit methodology, etc.)
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Accounting)
- Experience in Audit, SOX Compliance, Consulting, Accounting and/or other business related activity
- Big 4 experience a plus, but not required.
- CPA certification, or international equivalent, is required
- Strong understanding of risk and control
- Working knowledge of SOX requirements, control frameworks (e.g. COSO), and related business process control activities
- Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate audit observations and improvement opportunities
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in order to deliver timely completion of assignments
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skill with strong attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and business partners
- Intellectual curiosity and healthy professional skepticism
