Accounting Supervisor – Telecommute

The Accounting Supervisor will be a leader in the close process, billing process, and creator of efficiencies within the Accounting department for Landmark. The Accounting Supervisor will support the development of Staff and provided day-to-day oversight of close with direct coordination with the Accounting Manager. Landmark Health was created to transform how healthcare is delivered to the most medically vulnerable members in our community. Our medical group provides home-based medical care to chronically ill patients, many of whom are ill-equipped to navigate our overwhelming healthcare system.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
  • Produce clear, well-formed documentation to communicate results and conclusions
  • Validate financial reports for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Support close processes including consolidating, maintaining, and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Lead training and skills development of Accounting Staff
  • Partner with various departments to gather data and rectify discrepancies or issues
  • Support the integration to PeopleSoft and adoption of new policies and procedures
  • Prepare analytics related to works’ compensation, self-insurance, and health plan receivables
  • Work with management to develop internal controls throughout the Accounting department
  • Take ownership of assignments and bring forth ideas to enhance and improve processes
  • Assist management with ad hoc information gathering, analysis, reporting as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of general ledger close cycle and/or financial statement audit experience
  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP; Experience working with Accounting standards
  • Advanced MS Excel; Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA
  • Public Accounting experience(Audit)
  • Public company general ledger close cycle experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • NetSuite, Concur, and/or PeopleSoft experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
