The AWS Sustainability Finance team is responsible for supporting Amazon’s Climate Pledge goals to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040, 100% Renewables by 2025, and Water sustainability programs. We’re looking for an experienced, high performing Senior Financial Analyst to lead our climate finance reporting and insights work.
Your responsibilities will include working with business teams, Finance, Accounting, Risk, and Policy to align our financial reporting with latest climate finance frameworks and scenario analysis to drive transparency, visibility, and lead to better investment decisions. You will be a subject matter expert in Climate Finance, Environmental Social Governance reporting frameworks, and financial reporting. You will map our internal systems to external frameworks and drive climate finance insights.
To succeed in this role, you will combine a strong sense of ownership, high standards, and inventiveness, that will help you navigate in ambiguous environments.
The AWS Infrastructure Finance team provides end-to-end financial support, driving AWS to be the lowest cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. We are looking for Senior Financial Analyst to join our Sustainability Finance team which falls under the AWS Infrastructure Global Programs Finance team.
Key job responsibilities
Alignment and implementation of climate finance reporting framework across global businesses
Serve as a point of contact to business, finance, accounting, and policy for financial data
Own financial sustainability data used for internal and external reporting
Translate climate finance reporting and risk metrics into business insights and influence operational assets and new investment decisions, including future scenario analysis
Engaging with partner teams to align on long-term strategies to meet climate goals
- 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
* Climate risk and reporting experience (TCFD, etc..) in corporate finance or consulting capacity
Familiarity and/or experience with GHG Carbon accounting and EU sustainability taxonomy
Strong financial system skills establishing reporting processes in financial planning and accounting software (oracle, cognos, etc..)
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused, professional demeanor
