Our Controlling function is at the heart of this mission through maintaining strong internal controls, providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to internal and external partners, and ultimately delivering expert business partnership to drive profitable growth.


We are looking for an accountant with strong accounting and financial reporting background and a passion for the brand that will focus on our EMEA Legal Entity Record to Report (LER2R) accounting processes. A successful candidate will be passionate, high energy, a succinct and effective collaborator and communicator, and will embrace and drive elevation and transformation.


Support Nike’s LER2R Controlling team with ME close and external reporting related activities which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Support the EMEA ME close activities in areas related to cash, intercompany, and FX with preparation, review and/or approval of journal entries, running reports, SAP clearing, and quarterly deliverables.
  • Perform and/or review balance sheet account reconciliations for key financial statement line items.
  • Work closely with 3rd party outsourcing team who supports our transactional work and oversee related tasks and deliverables.
  • Provide audit-related evidence to support internal & external (PwC) audit requests.
  • Support financial statements preparation, demonstrating clear understanding and full management of relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Support transformation and elevation activities which may require partnering with other stakeholders to drive automation, simplification, and increased compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the geography and corporate controlling and finance community (Accounting, Treasury, Tax), as well as external stakeholders (PwC, EY, 3rd party outsourcing team).


In this role you will be part of NIKE’s EMEA Financial Controlling function, reporting to the LER2R Accounting Manager, based at NIKE’s EMEA Headquarters (EHQ) in the Netherlands.You will support the LER2R team and broader controlling team (including our 3rd party service provider) and partner with Treasury and other functions to deliver complete and accurate financials which will help NIKE achieve its goals in maximizing value to athletes and shareholders.


  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting, preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with an SAP ERP system.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting, Finance, or related functions.
  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience (nice to have).
  • Thrives in a routine environment but demonstrates strong change agility and a passion to drive elevation and improvement.
  • Self-motivated, detail and deadline-oriented, with a proven ability to handle several tasks with a commitment to own the issues and ensure their successful resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient MS Office/Excel skills (macro / automation techniques are a plus).
