Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the North America (NAMER) Commercial Sales Finance team to support our Partner Success Management (PSM) organization. This role has the opportunity for significant visibility and impact through business partnership to develop timely analysis, insightful guidance, and strategic support in our effort to drive customer engagement with our channel partners in North America.

Primary responsibilities include:
-Facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections on Partner business performance, key drivers, and critical trends that inform actionable recommendations to address business risks and opportunities.
-Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Field Sales, Inside Sales, Demand Generation, and our WW Partner Development organization, to establish strategies and investments for nonlinear growth in direct and indirect revenue and count of billing customers.
-Establish and refine productivity measurements of our PSM resources, identifying trends that inform steps for improvement.
-Lead short-and long-term financial planning, including financial modeling, investment rationalization, and document development for planning reviews.
-Improve field finance enablement through the development of reporting and trainings to heighten awareness of opportunities and relevancy of the PSM organization for their respective sales area or functional support role.

A day in the life
This individual’s day to day responsibilities will vary depending on business needs, and will be defined by the individual and their manager. Activities will likely include engagement in weekly leadership meetings, facilitation of monthly financial reviews, reviewing investment proposals, and identifying new opportunities for collaboration with peer finance and cross functional teams across the WW Commercial Sales organization.

About the team
The AWS Commercial Sales Finance team is still relatively new and growing quickly in size and impact for our business partners. We contribute through a variety of roles, including area sales partnership, FP&A, and functional team support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to dive deep with attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills
• Foundational SQL skills
• Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
• Ability to work successfully and collaboratively on cross-functional team
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills
