Role is based in Seattle, WA, but flexible to Arlington, VA.

Amazon seeks an experienced Sr. Finance Manager to lead supporting WW Consumer and Operations business within broader Corp FP & A. The role will be a key finance partner working with the leaders of the business unit finance teams. The position will support multiple VP/Directors and lead a team of finance professionals with the expectation to grow this team further over time.
The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analysis, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The role operates in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and will provide decision support and advice for key business leaders. The Sr. Finance Manager will be a key member of the Finance leadership team, providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics and building new processes to scale. Finally, this individual will be a strong and inspirational leader to raise the bar on hiring, developing and retaining the best talent to continue to build our world class Finance team.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage and develop the FP&A team, which is comprised of high performing finance professionals that support the multi-faceted aspects of our global business.
• The Sr. Finance Manager will be a key member of Amazon’s Finance leadership team and will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing Amazon’s WW Consumer and Operations financial planning processes, including long-term planning, annual budgeting, quarter guidance and goal setting.
• Partner with finance leaders to provide advice, finance support, and to drive process improvement and automation throughout Finance. You must have the ability to structure problems, perform analysis, and present to senior executives including the CFO. Supporting business partners at Amazon requires the ability to dissent, while building trust.
• Partner with the finance leaders to produce monthly and quarterly business updates for Amazon’s senior executives and the Board of Directors (BOD).
• Drive companywide financial analysis and overviews for the CFO and Finance leadership team. Identify financial improvements, deep dive on cost structures, and analyze business opportunities and/ or investments with a keen eye on scaling for future growth and improving our customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.

• Ability to present ideas to senior executives including the CFO
• Advanced modeling and analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills
• Strong, timely business judgment and controllership focus
• Experience optimizing finance processes for speed, agility and insight
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills
  • The preferred candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and can work successfully and effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Experience and ability to use Essbase, Cognos, or similar tools
