Cost Accounting Analyst (Controller)

The job position is primarily responsible for review cost center actual expenses by department and review to forecast/AOP, prepare any necessary reserve inventory accruals after approval, analysis of inventory by category (raw material, semi-finished, work in process, finished goods).

Month-End Actual
- Review cost center actual expenses by department and review to forecast/AOP
- Prepare any necessary reserve inventory accruals after approval
- Analysis of inventory by category (raw material, semi-finished, work in process, finished goods).Prepares comments on variances on inventory from forecast and AOP on U+5 report
- Completion of U+4 report with comments on MTD vs Forecast and YTD vs AOP
Monthly Forecast
- Drive and complete factory forecast for cost centers taking input from factory and reviewing with plant manager
- Executed monthly POC reporting also for IC orders
- Receives input on forecasted inventory from factory and analyzes it to prior months and challenges as necessary
- Quarterly calculates inventory reserves and places the impact into the forecast
- Completes and review factory backlog report for units to be shipped
Ongoing duties
- Project Controlling for Factory Intercompany projects (Order Entry, Budgets, Forecast, Invoicing, Warranty projects)
- Cooperation the accounting activities with CoE
- Cooperation in external and internal audits
- Supports monthly SQDCI process, assuming responsibility for completeness of financial metrics
- Calculates and analyzes quarterly factory reserves according to company policy making changes as needed after receiving approval from Global Mgmt
- Reviews and challenges IC and external factory offers and order management
- Track applied capacity for products, oversees standard hour development with regard to budget assumptions
- Completes year-end costing exercise, runs the process in SAP for year-end costing, verifies changes, reviews and gains approval of the factory to release the standard cost
Tasks and Qualifications:
Must:
Graduate degree in Finance or a related field with a financial major
3-5 years professional experience in a project/technical related industrial environment
Professional command in English, oral and written
Excellent communication skills, on all levels from shop-floor foremen to executive mgmt.
Can:
Comfortable working in an international matrix environment
Project management and/or other team leadership experience
Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system a plus
Knowledge of Czech Gaap and IFRS accounting standards
