The role needs a bold thinker with new ideas that can change perceptions and behaviors to make TurboTax known as the brand of choice for retail Investors.Specific qualifications include:• 7-10 year track record for developing winning growth strategies AND inspiring excellent execution through cross-functional teams.• Track record in driving rapid growth, and delivering on expected growth business outcomes.• Ability to set clear strategic direction and unlock velocity through principle-based decision-making.• Strong research abilities with experience in consumer segmentation and using design thinking and testing to inform decision making.• Externally aware, in-touch and connected with the latest in customer, technology, competitive and marketplace trends.• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with clear examples of using data to quantify and define customer insights and make recommendations.• Proven success in partnering, influencing, and collaborating internally and externally to establish shared passion and goals.• Passion for the retail investor and personal finance space.• Learning mindset, with a bias for constant rapid testing, experimentation and improvement.• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.• BA/BS required; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
How you will lead
This exciting cross-functional role is responsible for business delivery and long-term strategy of our Investor customer segment. The current revenue associated with the role is over $600M.Specific responsibilities include:• Own the end-to-end view of the Investor customer segment; drive in-year delivery of units & revenue; establish and refine multi-year strategy to further win in the Investor customer segment.• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Customer Success, and Product teams, to develop business cases, drive prioritization of strategic initiatives, influence product and marketing roadmaps, and execute the delivery of the business.○ Partner with Product team to translate the long-term strategy into a near-term roadmap.○ Partner with Marketing & Advertising teams to translate strategy and product roadmaps into innovative, multi-channel marketing campaigns that reliably deliver on annual customer and financial growth goals.○ Partner with Market Research to identify and quantify customer needs and emerging trends and generate the killer consumer insights that motivate change in consumer perception and behavior change.○ Partner with Finance & Analytics teams to measure and manage business performance.• Build a short-term go-to-market plan in partnership with product and partnership colleagues to reliably deliver on annual customer and financial growth goals.• Own business performance on a weekly basis; establish KPIs to measure performance of strategic initiatives, actively analyze business data to generate insights and make informed decisions that drive business results.• Build a long-term, multi-year strategy for disruptive growth among key growth segments with ownership for the value proposition and communication strategies.• Deeply understand customer needs & money challenges (both expressed and latent), understand & analyze market opportunities, and design the innovation strategy and go-to-market strategy to unlock growth opportunities.• Monitor and stay current with the competitive landscape as well as the broader retail investor ecosystem and market trends to identify new and evolving customer needs, identify additional market opportunities, and refine our competitive advantage.
Team is based in San Diego but open to remote work with occasional travel to San Diego
