The VMware Finance Systems and Solutions (FSS) Team is a focused group that implements and manages finance applications and processes is looking for an SAP GRC Subject matter expert who is responsible for implementing projects, processes, and solutions in the SAP GRC functional area.

Senior Business Analyst position gives you an opportunity to provide business/ functional expertise and add value in bringing new tools/applications, innovation and transformation in SAP GRC functional area. You are going to work on latest systems and tools for you to explore finance business processes and support various Business Stakeholders and GPO organization. You also have an opportunity to work with global teams.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You will be working with all the Finance Business Stakeholders as they transact on different finance systems. You will have opportunity to learn various Finance new processes. You will have opportunity to explore different finance applications. You will be working on many key cross functional and big finance transformation programs over the first 6-12 months as VMware transforms into SaaS company.

As a Senior Business Analyst and GRC subject matter expert you will be partnering with business community Global Process Owners, IT and FSS Team and learning new processes and system capabilities.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a member of SAP GRC Finance Solutions team, Senior Business Analyst position is a role for individuals who want to utilize business analysis skills to actively contribute to project implementations, Enhancements and support Business stakeholders to scale the business.

Senior Business Analyst works closely with Finance Shared Services, IT SAP Security team, GPO Organization and Engineering teams as well as integrated testing teams worldwide.

  • Work on key Finance transformation projects.
  • Liaise with IT on ongoing key projects and roadmap enhancements.
  • Work closely with business teams operational issues
  • Define and analyze the requirements, prepare the BRDs or User stories, develop Test trackers, and perform Pre UAT (Hands on) and drive business user testing.
  • Participate in UAT testing for various projects to compare actual with expected results and liaise with IT to resolve bug fixes
  • Perform End to End testing during test cycles

Requirements and Specifications:

  • Candidate should have in depth knowledge and experience in SAP GRC Access control functionalities ARM, ARA, EAM and BRM and Process Control functionalities – CCM and Manual Control monitoring.
  • Should independently handle the Configurations, maintain Master data both in Access control and Process Control. Including MDUG template preparation and upload.
  • MSMP Workflow configurations, analyzing and Identifying issues in MSMP workflows and recommending solution for the same.
  • Administration of SAP GRC configuration, SOD rule sets, workflows and maintaining approvers for user provisioning, emergency access.
  • Expert understanding of SAP’s security authorization concepts and profile generator
  • Analyze standard Tcodes and custom Tcodes added to SAP roles. Assess the Tcodes to Update SOD ruleset.
  • Performs Segregation of Duties analysis and support and manage the remediation and mitigation of risks in consultation with Risk owners.
  • Provide training and support for GRC, policies and procedures, and security role design to users in business terminology.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and audit standards.
  • Ensures compliance to security policies, procedures, and IT controls in place as part of new modules implementation.
  • Role design, configuration, testing, and deployment methodology within SAP application architecture
  • Experience in CHARM (SAP SolMan) change management process for role build and deployment.
  • Identify and assign mitigating controls to violations that cannot be remediated
  • Verify mitigating controls effectiveness
  • An intimate understanding and critical business information of technology skills including segregation of duties principles and business analysis

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Should have a at least 5-9 yrs. of hands-on experience of SAP GRC Access & Process Control
  • Knowledge on Segregation of Duties (SOD), specifically expertise in remediation of SOD violations and suggestions made to GPO’s on how to fix them.
  • Custom transaction code analysis within SAP to help conclude both functionally and technically the sensitivity of the transaction and need to update GRC risk library.
  • GRC Risk Ruleset Update Maintaining GRC risk rule book/ruleset to ensure all organizational risks are adequately captured.
  • Mitigation controls activity not just technical part of setting control in the system but also the ability to define control activities which would reduce the risk exposure.
  • Role design and Redesign experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP roles and authorization and User Management Process
  • Working knowledge of defining Segregation of Duties framework required for regulations e.g. SOX
  • Understanding and knowledge of business processes and the ability to build required controls for better business.
  • Candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills and ability work in a dynamic project environment.
  • Good knowledge in S4HANA security and Fiori Security and working experience in building S4HANA SOD ruleset.
  • Exposure to SAP GRC 12.0.

Finance Systems and Solutions (FSS) team is highly regarded team with about 75 to 100 members, closely work with IT and Business to solve business problems and bring better solutions. Global team is spread throughout VMware offices including Palo Alto(US), San Jose (Costa Rica), Cork (Ireland) ,and Bangalore (India).

Where is this role located?

Flexible: The location of this role is flexible within Bangalore (India). Work will be done from VMware office some days during a week and other days from a remote place (work from home). Given the current pandemic situation, candidate will be working remotely.
