GS Finance Workforce Planning Analyst

WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role will fit within the Global Services & Global Digital Products Finance team. You will work in partnership with the Global Services Finance Senior Manager, Capacity Leads and Analyst to be an SME for headcount, FTE and compensation reporting which equates to approximately 50% of the costs across our Global businesses.

As part of this team your role will be integral in maintaining and updating the central workforce planning and reporting tool. The key deliverables for the role will be:
Ensuring planning and reporting tool represents latest set of assumptions and inputs from our various systems
As a close business partner to multiple functions throughout the organisation, act as SME on all elements of FTE and compensation management.
Deliver comprehensive, accurate, and timely management reporting to the Global Services Finance & Accounting team.
Create insightful analysis to allow stakeholders to understand performance drivers to proactively highlight risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
Participate in managing the budgeting and planning process for headcount, FTE and compensation of global functions in partnership with respective functional finance leads.

YOU’RE GOOD AT
Technical and functional expertise:

Sound analytical skills, ability to navigate details and a willingness to look at data in different ways
Comfort combining multiple levels/types of data
Comfort with ambiguity and cross validating results through indirect means
An advanced knowledge of Excel with an ability to design, enhance, and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Strong accuracy and rigorous attention to detail:

Ability to synthesize data with consistent attention to detail
Demonstrates sound judgment, high level of initiative and resourcefulness
Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to embrace an iterative process
Flexibility, comfort and desire to dig in and work through the details
Proactively review output to ensure accuracy of information
Work management, organization and planning:

Confidence to work with minimal supervision to manage model updates to tight time schedules.
Ability to plan work effectively and prioritize even in stressful situations

Demonstrate ability to understand underlying compensation concepts and apply knowledge and skill to provide problem solving approaches.
Communication, interpersonal and teaming skills:

Demonstrates good communication skills to discuss compensation: oral, written and active listening.

Good judgment, interpersonal skills and a collaborative style

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics
3+ years relevant work experience in a finance environment
Good organizational skills with high levels of accuracy and diligence a must
A passion for working in a collaborative team environment
Motivation and self-drive – excited by tackling challenges and pro-actively finding new ways to provide value to senior leadership
Advanced Excel skills – experience managing scalable financial models and large data sets
Other systems skills a benefit, e.g. a working knowledge of Workday, Tableau, HFM, Think-Cell
