Job Description
The Finance Manager will act as the key finance contact for a National strategic customer for Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) Sales Teams. The Finance Manager will be the lead Finance Partner with the Kroger National Sales team supporting DSD beverage businesses, with responsibility for owning the finance agenda for DSD from strategy to Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Plan to the day to day. The Finance Manager will oversee 1 direct report and 1 GBS analyst with sole Kroger responsibility. This will include P&L management, reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee a team of 2 reports in support of Kroger – the largest National Grocery Customer with ~$1B of Net Revenue – overall team deliverables include:
  • Provide financial expertise to assist in the effective management of Sales activity calendars, investment decision making and overall customer performance.
  • Work with Sales Teams to develop the Annual Operating Plan (and period operating reviews) for sales and trade expense.
  • Lead the period/quarter/FY process to develop accurate financial forecasts for the Sales Teams. Provide clear and concise analytics on actual variances to forecast, Plan and PY.
  • Analyze potential trade investment opportunities and provide guidance and financial perspective to Sales.
  • Partner with PBNA Revenue Management to analyze trade investment decisions and work through activity contingency requests.
  • Provide insightful analysis of business results to Senior Management and perform ad hoc analyses that lead to problem solving and business improving recommendations.
  • Provide “pre” & “post” promotional event analysis.
  • Provide periodic reporting to Sales management for tracking business results and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide coaching to sales to enhance their financial skill sets and build partnering relationships that ensure both functions are working together to enhance team performance

Compensation and Benefits:

    • Expected salary range is $116,000-136,000
      • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% paid out annually
    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (preferred), Business Administration or Accounting (MBA a plus)
  • 6+ years of progressive financial leadership responsibility, ideally with supervisory experience, in some of the following areas: Annual planning, Strategy development, Financial Planning and Analysis, business performance evaluation and Financial Accounting and Control. Prior Consumer product experience a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer previous consumer products related industry experience
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills -ability to influence and impact cross-functional partners
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes
  • Good people skills to manage multiple resources across complex customer
  • Results-oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and able to quickly learn various in-house software applications
  • Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change
