Payroll Tax Accountant is responsible for payroll tax payments processing and reconciliation, proactive collaboration with customer and key internal business partners, and to ensure payroll tax compliance for multiple Siemens Companies in U. S. This role requires independent thinking and actions in handling payroll tax analysis and validations. Solid knowledge of federal, state and local tax compliance required. Works as a team player and maintains a positive and productive work environment. We are considering remote work locations in the eastern and central times zones.
-Responsible for Payroll Tax reconciliation on a quarterly and annual basis
-Processing Payroll Tax payments
-Ensure Payroll Tax Compliance at the employer and employee level
-Maintains the controls and compliance documentation for payroll taxes
-Resolve agency notices and tax tracers, performs root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution
-Review and assist in payroll tax GL reconciliations, ICC billing and funding
-Resolve employees tax escalations provide quality, reliable solutions to critical issues
-Responsible for Payroll Tax audits
-Provides support for mergers and acquisitions from a Payroll tax perspective
-Review current payroll tax processes and identify process improvements, standardization and ensure tax compliance
-Provide quality assurance testing on payroll tax updates
-Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners
-Participates in the Payroll Year-End processing W2 and W2c management
-Communicate effectively with various levels of management to ensure high level of customer support and positive customer interactions
-Maintain compliance with all payroll regulatory and Siemens requirements
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required
-5+ years of experience processing US Federal (941-X) and State Payroll Tax Forms and Payments in a multi-state payroll
-2+ years of experience processing amended tax forms and W2C’s in a multi-state payroll
-2+ years of experience in performing payroll tax reconciliation in a multi-state payroll
-Solid knowledge of payroll tax laws and legislation and ability to conduct tax research
-Solid time management skills, ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment
-Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research and problem solving skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to interact with diverse and decentralized teams/customers
-Prior experience providing international delegates payroll tax support a plus
-Advanced knowledge of Excel required, proficient in all Office applications
-Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or ERP systems highly preferred, ADP experience is desired
-Complete self-initiated training necessary to remain current on payroll tax practices relevant to the Siemens Operating Companies supported
