The Traffic and Marketing Tech Creator Growth team’s goal is to make Amazon the Earth’s most desired destination for commerce influencers and their content. We are a new org focused on products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. Our “Fame and Love” team will be laser-focused on launching features that reinforce a feeling of achievement for influencers in addition to monetary compensation. We own strengthening creators’ sense of community, fandom, and credibility, and providing positive feedback loops.
We are looking for a talented Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the strategy and development of building innovative solutions that help us address creator needs and make creators more successful on Amazon.

Scope of Role
As a Principal Technical Program Manager, Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time, goals, customer impact and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams.
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current technologies. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, destroy limits to scale, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. This role will require high judgement on how we can deliver for customers in both the short- and long-term.

• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• 5+ years of technical program management experience
• Master’s degree or advanced technical degree
• 5+ years as a Software Technical Program Manager (TPM)
• Knowledge of hardware development process and life cycle
• Excellent technical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience managing large scale hardware/software product releases
• Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses
• Preferred great communication skills both written and oral
