Do you want to help build an AIR network to delight millions of Amazon customers? Join the Amazon Air team! We’re looking for a supply chain analyst to support our rapidly growing Amazon Air business, which currently operates an air cargo network using a fleet of Boeing 737 and 767 aircraft across more than 30 U.S. airports.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to
influence the business through analytics, work closely with multiple stakeholders in different geographies, and dive deep and root cause issues within our complex AIR network.

An Amazon Air Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for improving the logic and methodologies of AIR’s volume forecast through data analysis, modeling, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will work closely with end users making key business decisions and will help optimize the operation contributing to driving down total cost within the transportation network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Improve performance to forecast by identifying, measuring and managing key metrics related to Amazon Air
  • Lead critical projects to improve planning and forecasting efficiency for NA operations
  • Participate in Amazon Air Network initiatives and project roll outs to cater to growing business needs
  • Coordinate with internal Amazon Air Operations, Research Scientists and external Operations teams to meet business service levels.
  • Promote process improvement and standardization of processes across all sites in the network.
  • Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Tableau, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Participate in long term planning and modeling sessions
  • Travel up to 10%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau or Microsoft Access

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters in a quantitative field, Business Administration, or Supply chain, or equivalent
  • Work experience in operations/supply chain management
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing initiatives
  • Experience with data mining and data analysis
