We are looking for a smart, ambitious, strategic, business transformation leader for our Joining Amazon organization. In this role, you will develop deep expertise with Employee Services solutions used by Amazon and will partner with business leaders, technologists, HR program leaders and delivery partners to develop and document new strategies, requirements and timelines taking full advantage of new technology platforms across core HR hire-to-retire processes.

Key job responsibilities
As the Sr. Program Manager in theJoining Amazon Service Optimization team, you will work globally with business owners, technical program managers, and HR partners at all levels to understand strategy, requirements and timelines to guide an organization across multiple geographies as we build and launch a Delivery Service Engine and automation technologies that will take Joining Amazon to the next level. Objectives for this role will include driving deliverables across multiple work streams, building processes and solutions to drive transformation, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to deliver these solutions.

A day in the life
• Strategy: Ideate and drive strategic, data driven change looking end to end across Employee Services business critical services.
• Deliver Solutions: Working backwards from our customers , implement global programs to meet long term HR business needs; partner with development teams on system design and gap analysis, prioritization of critical initiatives and resources, and make v. buy evaluation
• Drive Operational Excellence: Pro-actively identify opportunities for standardization, simplification and automation of global HR processes while balancing the business need for flexibility and appropriate localization.
• Stakeholder Management: Establish and drive partnership with Employee Services leaders and operational teams, technology teams, transformation team and wider stakeholders to earn trust and meet Employee Services and customer’s goals.
• Project Management: Develop project plans, secure resources, and drive project schedule; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables
• Communication: Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and periodic white paper analysis; provide pre and post launch communications to impacted teams
• Business Requirements: Coordinate the collection of global business requirements and the documentation of system configuration and integration specifications, test plans and use cases
• Measurement: Develop measures to define progress and success; establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators for confirming return on investment; own, track and maintain project budgets and forecasts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

• 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
• 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Colorado Equal Pay Act Statement:
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $115,000 160,000 year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful record of developing and executing transformation strategies, building and improving operational processes and procedures, and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Strategic view, able to perform cost benefit analyses, accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex business environment
• Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment
• Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances – solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
• Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments – great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills – ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
• Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent employee experience
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP and/or Scrum Master certified preferred
