DESCRIPTION

Job summary
Amazon Web Services Talent Acquisition’s Global Talent Intelligence (AWS TA GTI) Program is seeking a Data Scientist. The AWS TA GTI Program’s mission is to accelerate the process of finding builders of all backgrounds, using research and insights to enable Amazon Web Services Talent Acquisition (AWS TA) Teams to reach their strategic goals and AWS business partners to make informed talent decisions. The AWS GTI Program team aims to be a force multiplier of talent for AWS TA by empowering recruiters and sourcers with research and talent intelligence to create efficient talent strategies for today and cultivate talent pools to support our growth tomorrow.
The Data Scientist will be leading a team of 3 Business Intelligence Engineers. You will be responsible for shaping how GTI approaches analytical heavy engagements and will influence how the Talent Acquisition team thinks about sourcing and recruiting. You will come in and establish relationships across TA and the business to pinpoint specific business problems and people constraints and seek to provide insights to unlock further Talent Acquisition development and growth for AWS as a whole.

The Data Scientist will also set up and lead an initiative to improve recruiting funnel efficiency. GTI programs believes that AWS can increase the efficiency of its recruiting funnel by applying machine learning to the applications it receives. This initiative would aim at orienting candidates towards the role that best match their skills, and making sure that candidates most likely to be successful for a role are pushed towards a similar opportunity, when the recruiting process ends. You will conduct, direct, and coordinate all phases of research projects within that initiative, including defining key research hypothesis, developing models, designing and implementing appropriate data collection methods, executing analysis plans, and communicating results. You will earn trust from our business partners by collaborating with them to define key research questions, communicate scientific approaches and findings, listen to and incorporate their feedback, and deliver successful solutions.
