Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the EMEA AWS Commercial Sales Finance Team. This role can be based in Italy or in Luxembourg. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon in a newly created role.

As a member of the AWS Finance team you will be at the forefront of this transformation, assisting a global list of companies that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications. The successful candidate will implement and drive the core financial processes for the capacity planning of multiple fast-growing services under AWS.

Key job responsibilities
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Finance Business Partner you will be expected to dive deep into the data, understand trends and communicate insights to leadership. You will have joint ownership of a sales target with your business partner, thus not only will you be expected to be able to talk to past results in Monthly Business Reviews, but also work on forward looking sales strategy for the future success of your segment. As a business partnering role you will need to build strong relationships not only with the segment leader and account managers, but also with stakeholders in support functions across EMEA. Controllership will always be key, thus we expect this individual to challenge the business on decision making, ensuring the most efficient use and allocation of resources in order to drive maximum value for AWS. We are an EMEA wide team, therefore this role will also include project work and the requirement to be an EMEA wide Subject Matter Expert in a given topic as well.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
• multiple years’ proven expertise in finance positions that require business partnering and stakeholder management
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and experience of working with large and complex data sets (SQL, QuickSight, Cognos, etc.)
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity
• Demonstrated financial acumen including data interpretation of actuals business results, analyses and forecasting
• Experience managing and prioritizing workload and competing deadlines
• Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis ability
• Effective verbal and written communication in Italian is an asset, but not a requirement.
