DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Payment Acceptance & Experience team, which is responsible for enabling customers globally to pay for services with their preferred payment methods. In this role, you will manage payment partner (issuers, aggregators) relationships in support of delivering best-in-class innovation and experiences for Amazon One, an exciting new service that enables contactless payments in store. The role will entail concurrently driving multiple engagements with that may involve product, marketing and technology components across partners across geographies. It is crucial for the candidate to be forward-thinking and capable of illustrating the benefits of new payments innovations with our partners.
Multiple roles available in Seattle or on the East Coast
Day to Day, you will:
• Analyze data to identify key issuers and aggregators to approach for scaling
• Cultivate relationships with card network account teams to facilitate issuer/aggregator onboarding
• Lead sales outreach, educating partners about the program and defining onboarding plans
• Solve onboarding challenges with technical and product teams and drive issues to resolution
• Provide Operations support for on-boarded issuers (e.g. Reporting, auditing customer-facing materials)
• Proactively create a feedback loop back to the product and engineering teams to implement any changes that Amazon needs to support to improve our customer experience
• Drive UAT and end to end testing with banks, payment networks and providers to continuously improve our customer experience
• Refine go-to-market materials/plans in collaboration with payment networks and issuers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in roles such as Account Management, Partner Management or Sales
• Experience securing partnerships with complex, sophisticated counter parties
• Track record of timely execution of complex programs
• Sufficient analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business ‘by the numbers’
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel occasionally. Expected travel <10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in account management/partner management in the financial services/payments industry
• Experience in business development for technical products
