We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team focused on process improvement, waste reduction and improving experiences for customers.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers and Software Developers to generate actionable insights that guide operational excellence and product development. Your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team. You will be gathering customer insights, mining data, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions.

The Senior Business Analyst will be detail oriented, and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. The candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools (excel, visualization tools, and SQL), and can partner with business leaders to deep-dive complex business problems. You are analytical, organized, curious, and work backwards from the business problem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses, to drive key business decisions
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Define the data elements to enable analytical and reporting capabilities, and work cross-functionally with other research teams when needed
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, root cause, and business opportunities
  • Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Excel
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  • 5+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
  • Experience with SQL

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience working as a business analyst or data analyst or related role
• Advanced experience with SQL.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
• Experience with Business Intelligence applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to share findings in an understandable and actionable manner.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
• Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
• Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Mathematics
• Advanced experience using AWS QuickSight for dashboard creation.
• Experience with AWS Redshift.
• Broad knowledge of basic statistics and statistical interpretation of quantitative data
• Experience in scripting languages for parsing and data analysis
