Amazon

Our mission: To be Earth's most customer-centric company.

DESCRIPTION

Job summary
AWS is the leader in Cloud Computing. More and more people are depending on us to “just be there” to power their businesses, their homes, their lives – and we are! But in a world of ever accelerating complexity, demands, and new amazing applications, how do we ensure our services are always “just there” when our customers (and our customers’ customers) need us? Well, that’s where you come in!

The AWS Dependency Insights team is responsible for helping our Builders understand what availability, recovery and Build time risks they’re taking whenever their dependencies change. Determining dependency graphs for a service is hard. Determining the risks across the graph and how those risks change as dependencies within the graph change is even harder. We own figuring out what dependencies a service currently has, and how their risk profile changes as the service’s dependencies change. And we do all this by creating automation that’s smart enough to find all kinds of dependencies and figure out how they affect a service’s risk profile. We walk where others fear to tread we embrace complexity and a high rate of creativity so we can better understand how our services depend on each other in an ever-changing world. We have a mandate to operate across all of AWS. We are a close knit team highly supportive of each other’s growth and success.

If you are inspired to lead teams in figuring out how things work, how to break them, and then how to make them better, stronger, faster, then we want to hear from you. If you can abstract deep technical architectures to find the one point of weakness to press on and then figure out how to eliminate that without service interruption, then we want to talk to you. And if leading and motivating others to find solutions that benefit millions of peoples motivates you, then yes, we want you to come on this journey with us. Make no mistake this is not for the faint of heart, but for those leaders who insist on nothing but the highest level of reliability for their customers, and for those who have the chops to deliver that.

Our customers, everyone from your best friend to multinational fortune 500 companies, to people on the other side of the World you haven’t met yet, depend on what we do to ensure AWS is always “just there” when they need us. Up for the challenge to deliver that? Then let’s talk!
