Amazon Brazil is looking for a Brand Specialist to play an important role within the Retail team by owning a category and adding selection, analyzing business data, driving vendor performance, negotiating terms and handling promotions. As a Brand Specialist, you will be responsible for strategic relationships with several of our key vendors and partners. You will work with Brazilian and global vendors to drive all aspects of terms improvements, which includes analysis and projections, as well as direct negotiations with senior decision makers in local vendors. Additionally, you will increase product category sales, by driving store marketing promotions, negotiating partners to improve selection, and reacting to industry-related economic trends. You will have excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to analyze and communicate complex terms and margin structure and work well across other teams including Finance and Inventory Management. Candidates who are organized, flexible, creative, analytical, and able to drive negotiations through completion will be appreciated. Key job responsibilities
This professional will be responsible for the brand strategy and execution, owning its p&l.

A day in the life
Analyzes sub-category output metrics to make decisions regarding pricing, selection, and convenience and drives for improvements;
Owns the Retail P&L for sub-categories;
Develops plans that drive revenue and
margin improvement;
Reviews results of promotions and changes course of action and negotiates new promotions if needed;
Audits all elements of sub-category business (e.g., inputs, outputs, site experience, team performance), performs deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes, and makes decisions based on data;
Acts as escalation point to respond to vendor needs for sub-categories; identifies and communicates trends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS required;
• Demonstrated business discernment with effective written and oral communication skills in Portuguese and English;
• Experience in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and marketing;
• Analytical abilities and analytical skills is a must;
• The ability to use both formal and informal influencing skills inside and outside the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects – prioritization, planning and task delegation.
• High threshold for working and thriving in an ambiguous, fast paced environment figuring it out and adapting as you go.
• MBA preferred
• Track record of results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high profile business
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
• Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
