Amazon is looking for a senior program leader to work with central teams to drive the roadmap and implementation of improvements to global systems responsible for managing the day to day experience for vendors working with Amazon. Our vision is to drive vendor preference for Amazon by building the most trusted and efficient experience for every vendor to run their business anywhere in the world.
You are a creative problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You’ll be responsible for developing the technology strategy and vision to enable our vendors to scale their business in JP and globally. You will work closely with product families, engineering, design, product, operations, finance and executive teams across the consumer org to identify the vendor pain points and growth blockers, develop and deliver with central teams and our own engineering team to build simple scalable technology solutions to complex multi-faceted challenges. You will proactively identify and resolve strategic issues and lead the teams delivering the solutions. Other key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining operational excellence in JP and benchmarking globally. This is a high visibly leadership role that will include interaction with senior leaders and teams across Amazon, requiring a strong ability to communicate effectively JP/WW Retail needs and understand the different perspectives and technical challenges faced by our engineers to simplify the experience for vendors. The tools you build to help vendors will in turn drive revenue and growth for our business and theirs. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving technology and product innovation and solving complex problems in a constantly evolving space. You should have extensive experience leading large scale technology organizations, developing mechanisms that enable you to scale yourself, relationships and the resources you have while delivering and maintaining high quality systems and experiences. You should also be a thought leader and be comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership.

Work with central teams to drive improvements in technology, policy, process, and operating model to translate that into an achievable vision, prioritize resources, and manage overall roadmap to accomplish business goals. Invent through simplification of redundant systems while enabling tool parity across vendor and seller businesses. Excel at collaborative leadership with partner teams to develop simple and intuitive experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree quantitative field of study
- Experience planning and managing multiple parallel projects
- Strong track record of driving cross org change
- Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features
- Ability to make smart trade-offs and high judgement prioritization.
- Track, analyze and report on metrics on a weekly/monthly basis to support strategic initiatives and drive tactical decisions.
- English full proficiency required
- 8+ years of program management experience in a technology-driven industry; highly analytical fields in Professional Services
- Native Japanese speaker ideal but not required
