At Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), we are building a core set of services that allow our customers to create and use Kubernetes at scale. You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.
You will be solving complex technical problems, often ones not solved before, alongside with peers with remarkable technical expertise. Work/Life Balance
Our team puts a value on work-life balance. Most days, our team is co-located in the office, but we’re also flexible when people occasionally need to work from home. We generally keep core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm. About half of us come in earlier and the other half of us stay later.
On-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science related fields OR 1+ years equivalent experience in software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, and CNCF ecosystem in general
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field; we are open to recent post-secondary graduates
