Job summary
The Industry and Partner Academy is seeking an imaginative, adaptable, and self-starting Content Designer to create effective, scalable, and engaging learning experiences that are used by AWS teams. As a Content Designer you will bring experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to build high-quality, scale-able learning experiences that builds confidence in engaging with business leaders of various industries. In addition, you will have strong program management experience, especially as it relates to the training/development space. You would curate, create and continuously improve enablement content using an array of creative approaches that inspire learners.
To be successful you should be comfortable in working across multiple stakeholder groups, be well versed in creating learning objectives, expository content, eLearning, learning assessment and learner analytics support development, and instructional manuals (if need be). The right candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The candidate should be a creative problem solver who is meticulous, customer-obsessed, and open to receiving/providing impactful feedback. They must also be willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.

Preferred location for this position is Seattle, WA. Relocation assistance offered from within the US.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• As a Content Designer you will bring experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to build high-quality, scale-able learning experiences that supports our learning community of our team.
• Curate, create and continuously improve learning content using an array of creative approaches that inspire learners, and incorporate voice of field for continual improvement.
• Build vertical understanding in at least 2 industries over 6 months, to create a POV on learning content gap, AWS key messaging for the industry and be able to liase with SMEs in the industry.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new models and design templates, ensuring the best experience of the learner.
• Develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of including social or connected strategies, and multimedia-based assets.
• Be an active and productive liaison/partner with the SME groups, consistently seeking to make a positive impact on key business and customer experience metrics.
• Challenge the team to identify, experiment and implement new and innovative enablement and approaches, tools, and systems.
• Handle end-to-end projects, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly and according to plan.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of relevant experience in an instructional design role, including training courses and videos.
• 5+ years of experience using video editing tools and design software experience such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, GoAnimate, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
• 3+ years’ experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities, including ILT, e-learning, video.
• 5+ years experience using data, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance.
• 3+ years strong project/program/product management experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in educational qualification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of professional multimedia design experience in a creative agency and/or fast-paced corporate setting.
• 3+ years’ experience working within global companies and within global sales/partner training/enablement organizations, preferably in the cloud industry.
• Time management skills in order to meet critical deadlines under changing conditions.
• Excels in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through collaboration efforts.
• Knowledge of Cloud technology and selling methodologies.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
