Amazon Devices & Services team provides that opportunity and is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help launch new device and app experiences for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
• Identify, quantify, prioritize and launch new strategic opportunities, roadmaps and product features to support the growth of the Amazon Devices business around the world.
• Work cross-functionally to assemble project teams, identify appropriate resources needed, assign responsibilities, drive execution and manage go-to-market activities to ensure timely, well-executed launches.
• Regularly and proactively assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations and make trade-offs balancing business needs against constraints.
• Create, maintain and disseminate project and program information to stakeholders including executive leadership as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be deeply analytical, have technical aptitude, work effectively in a matrix organization, and be adept at translating data from a variety of sources into action for teams to deliver high quality, simple, delightful experiences that customers love.

About the team
Our team enables app and game developers throughout the world to thrive on Amazon entertainment devices, with products spanning across the categories of streaming media players, smart TVs, tablets, and multi-modal devices. Our team requires leaders who move quickly, have an entrepreneurial spirit and an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of solving complex problems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in technical program management for software solutions and services.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Comfortable working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture.
• Experience managing multiple complex technology projects with aggressive schedules and scarce resources.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metrics.
• Technical fluency; comfortable discussing or diving deep on technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
• Comfortable presenting to an executive audience and commanding large, diverse cross-functional teams in a composed, poised and professional demeanor.
