Amazon Web Services (AWS) is committed to sustainability. Be part of an exciting new team helping the US Public Sector customers deliver on their climate and sustainability goals. We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader to execute the sustainable operations Go-To-Market plan working across our full stack of services. Our goal as a team is to build and bring solutions to our Public Sector customer and make AWS the best place for our customers and partners to build and deploy sustainable operations solutions.

On this team, you will own the go-to-market strategy and execution within sustainable operations. Working closely with stakeholders across the AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) organization, customers, and the partner organization. You will provide solutions and advisory services to partners and customers for use cases like forecasting and prediction, energy grid scaling, energy use, sustainable supply chain, smart buildings, predictive maintenance and mission control. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the go-to-market definition and execution of the climate strategy for partners, customers, and their use cases.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in Public Sector selling and business development focused on climate, energy, sustainability and operational technology. This candidate should have experience building and selling innovative technical solutions to the government/public sector. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges,

Key job responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to build and execute the Go-To-Market plan. Develop Go-To-Market strategies for partner and AWS led solutions.
  • Work with customers to provide technical solutions, strategy and advisory services for how to implement Sustainable and Operations on AWS.
  • Work across AWS to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus within AWS and within customer and partner organizations.
  • Work with SA team to provide customer needs and requirements to develop new solutions. Collect and synthesis information gathered from customer and partner engagements into succinct findings and persuasively communicate findings to AWS senior management.
  • Build and own pipeline working with AWS Account teams.
  • Work with the AWS Partner team to build an ecosystem of partners that can deliver solutions and ensure partner readiness.
  • Serve as an evangelist for the Sustainable Operations on AWS throughout AWS and the Public Sector customers.
  • Develop unsolicited proposals, white papers and present at conference.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of proven track working across sustainability and/or operations and working with end-customers.
• 5+ years of experience in BD customer facing roles for cloud technology, IoT, AI/ML, big data and/or edge.
• Experience working with US Federal customers in the areas of environment, facilities, climate, energy, modeling.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical experience across climate and operations domains.
• P.E., MS or Ph.D
• Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organization creating cross-functional teams to deliver.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO) across US Federal civilian or DoD.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
• Strategic problem solving and collaboration skills
