Job summary
Do you like to lead initiatives with global scale that improve employee experiences? Amazon is looking for a smart, ambitious, strategic HR professional to drive the evolution of focused initiatives that enhance the retention and engagement of technical talent on the WW Consumer organization.

In this role you will build out programs solving challenges unique to our technology employees including creating and executing on initiatives that involve engaging tech talent, creating listening mechanisms to capture employee experience and deep diving into data to identify needs and establishing subsequent solutions.

The successful candidate will have a strong HR and data analysis background with experience managing a complex portfolio of projects with ambiguous requirements along with excellent communication skills, strategic thinking and planning ability, experience collecting business requirements, and conducting change management in order to implement and improve processes.

This role will interact with business and HR stakeholders at all levels to gather feedback, develop user stories, define objectives, conduct data analysis and deliver results.
The role can be based in Seattle, Nashville or at one of our regional office locations. Virtual location will be considered.

Key job responsibilities
This role will:

  • Own end to end solution designing from ideation to delivery managing the full life cycle of program management
  • Use feedback and data to form a clearly defined business problem
  • Build solutions to defined business problems leveraging the voice of the employee.
  • Create implementation strategies for designed solutions seeking feedback and buy-in across several HR and business stakeholder groups
  • Juggle multiple priorities, shifting quickly to environmental changes
  • Navigate across a highly matrixed, complex technical talent landscape
  • Identify roadblocks and risks early
  • Create clear communication plans accounting for a very distributed global target audience
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.

A day in the life
This role offers the opportunity to impact all facets of the employee lifecycle through understanding talent experiences and gaps and identifying scalable solutions that focus on engaging and retaining technical talent.
A typical day may include analyzing data to uncover stories, interacting with HR and technical employees to gain anecdotes, outlining a problem statement, establishing a path forward whether that be more insight gathering or proposing a solution and taking end to end ownership to deliver results. In this role you will partner regularly with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) as well as business leaders and employees.

About the team
The Consumer Tech Talent Teams team charter focuses on building a multi-faceted community anchored on tech employees with three main responsibilities: 1) building and fostering tech engagement within the organization; 2) proactively driving key initiatives that increase the organizational health of teams that have tech talent; and 3) creating an Employer Brand that engages internal tech talent and entices external talent. The vision is to reach tech talent globally with engagement efforts that positively impact the Consumer Tech employee lifecycle.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in Program Management roles in Talent Management, HR or related function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources management or related field
  • Experience working with Tech Talent in a HR client support or in a COE supporting tech talent
  • Strong data aptitude. Comfort and capability accessing, computing and interpreting data/basic analytics (HR/TM focused)
  • Proven track record of managing of high-impact projects/programs and driving results; demonstrated experience in managing multiple program streams or programs- building mechanisms for work prioritization, planning, and coordination across teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfort engaging with executive-level leaders

  • Experience supporting technical talent
  • Influencing and relationship building skills
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and ambiguous environment.
  • High interest in driving near term tangible improvements while contributing to long term solutions

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $125,800 – 170,200/yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
