Within the AWS Sales organization, the Specialist Sales Operations Support team is responsible for supporting Leadership, Sales, and Operational teams in achieving organizational objectives and driving continuous improvements in field productivity. We drive effectiveness, predictability, and deliver a “run the business” cadence that allows for the field to serve customers in the way customers want to be served.

AWS Sales is seeking a Headcount Operations Specialist to support the Worldwide Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams in headcount management. This includes partnering with Strategy and Operations and cross functional teams such a HR, Recruiting, and Finance to drive operational improvements to headcount management and project manage headcount initiatives. The Headcount Operations Specialist will play a critical role in establishing operational excellence and making important business decisions regarding headcount for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, be able to work in a fast paced work environment, and have strong communication skills to build and maintain strong personal rapport with Leaders. The candidate will be part of a fast growing team with opportunities for growth and advancement within the Org. You must be comfortable working cross functionally and demonstrate bias for action. Being able to establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, improve processes, and find creative way to remove blockers are a must.

Location: U.S. city with AWS corporate office.

Key job responsibilities
• End to End management of the WWSO Intern Program including demand planning, headcount tracking, intern experience, and overall project management
• Build mechanisms to streamline headcount tracking for sales coverage attributes
• Maintain headcount tracking for re-orgs, internal and external transfers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in headcount management
• Intermediate Excel (intermediate formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
• Proficiency with MS Office – Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Project management/program management experience within HR, Finance, or Sales Operations
• Experience in process improvement
• Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of leading data-driven analyses, and providing clear answers to complex problems
• Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills
• Experience in prioritization of deliverables and tasks
• Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
