This role is open to NY, Chicago, DC, and Los Angeles.

Amazon is investing heavily in building a world-class advertising business. This team leads the experiment initiatives for advertisers worldwide in collaboration with various partners to influence advertiser’s media strategies, internal product development, and marketing. We are highly motivated, collaborative, and fun-loving team.

Key job responsibilities
• Execute experimentation projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Translate business problem statements into analysis requirements or A/B test hypothesis
• Recommend and implement appropriate experimental design in support of advertising
• Manage A/B test design, sizing, setup, monitoring, QA, analysis, insights creation
• Apply statistical knowledge to specific business problems and analyze massive data to derive key business insights and action plans
• Write concise documents communicating results to stakeholders and visualize data to drive decision making

About the team
Our team builds a culture of experimentation at Amazon Advertising by delivering consultation, training, analytical support, and scaled insights to partners. We lead the experiment initiatives for advertisers worldwide in collaboration with various partners to influence advertiser media strategies, internal product development, and marketing. We develop scientifically robust and scalable test frameworks across a broad spectrum of ad products, pioneering new approaches to measuring the effectiveness of emerging media and cross-product/full-funnel synergies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to translate technical aspects of analysis and metrics into actionable insights for the advertiser and stakeholders with varying levels of analytic expertise
• Have a good understanding of basic statistical technique and methodologies as well as an understanding of hypothesis testing and A/B Testing
• Proficiency with SQL – ability to write basic queries from scratch and modify complex queries
• Proficiency with an advanced analytical tool (Python, R)
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with others with diverse skill sets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced technical or business degree (Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Operations Research, etc)
• Work experience in advertising industry
• Experience with A/B testing
• Experience in marketing campaign management
