Sr Technical Program Manager III

Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to solve deep technical problems and build innovative solutions in a fast paced environment working with smart, passionate software developers and product managers.
This is an opportunity to define, build, and deliver projects that have direct technical, product and business impact on Amazon. This role will give you an opportunity to work with many different teams and learn a range of new systems, leveraging the deep collection of technologies throughout the company and extending them to allow us to boldly go where no other company has gone before in the logistics industry.
This is a great position for someone who can easily scale up and down their thinking architecturally to bring customer-centric solutions to market by intellectual leadership and influence on technology, product and business teams. You will be part of the technology leadership team. Our larger teams own business/product requirements, UX and software development; we specifically look to the technical program management function to glue these functions together to build and deliver great solutions for our businesses and users world-wide.
We are looking for Technical Program Managers who are passionate about conceptualizing, building and operating massively scalable systems. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects.
In this highly-visible cross-functional role, you will shape technology strategy that make the core of what Amazon Shipping is about and influence how it will evolve for millions of shippers around the world. You will work with various software and business teams around the company to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• 5+ years of technical program management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Sound technical and product/business judgment • Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development • Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems • Experience in network, distributed, asynchronous and concurrent programming • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
