Job summary
We are looking for a self-motivated, creative, high caliber Social Media Manager to work on a project with strategic significance and high exposure. The initiative is fundamental to Amazon’s future, and will provide great personal satisfaction and career development as we tackle some of the most intriguing problems for our customer segments and building highly scalable services. We are building extremely customer focused software that can also serve many fast-growing businesses for decades to come. The project will have regular reviews with the company’s senior leaders. The scope of the project is set to scale rapidly for the next few years post launch.

The individual will be responsible for leading the social media development and execution for the team, working with agency partners, internal stakeholders, and wider teams to establish creative best practice, guidelines and ways of working to ensure our brand social media content is engaging, interesting and effective.

A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social media, someone with a proven-track record of planning, delivering and reporting on a range of social media campaigns, across various social platforms and successful demonstration of building the organic social footprint for the brand. They should be a multi-tasker, creative thinker, a problem solver, goal-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture. They will also have a passion for testing to invent and scale a successful program from working with the marketing team to design and create the campaign test to communicating the results to using the data to inform future business decisions.

Job responsibilities

• Define, manage and execute social media vision to drive brand discovery and customer engagement via social media channels and team partnerships.
• Collaborate with brand marketing and PR to optimize key brand message and perception drivers through social media
• Lead the development and implementation of always-on social media campaigns for the brand that deliver measurable uplift against our key goals
• Mange the social media agency relationship and oversee campaign strategy, leading creative ideation to deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns for customers
• Maintain deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis and ownership of data touchpoints.
• Contributes and presents strategy, learnings and recommendations to senior leadership via meetings and document writing
• Develops and owns multiple team KPIs for social media strategy to drive results toward our business goals over short and long-term that are reported to senior leadership.
• Provides thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies across our organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in marketing/social media/content marketing
• Social media campaign planning including working on major brand campaigns
• Experience working with multiple Social Media tools
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• An MBA or other advanced degree, preferably business/marketing related
• Proven track record of creating customer segmentation in social media and executing campaign tests to increase engagement
• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating relevant results upwards
• High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience managing large scale marketing programs and writing customer-facing content
• Experience of using the latest social media monitoring/analysis tools and platforms
• Experience of delivering successful paid amplification of influencer campaigns
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and work with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong competency in Office software (Outlook, Excel etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
