Job summary
Are you interested in driving ProServ’s workforce strategy? In this role you are the catalyst to the business to help drive our Workforce Planning (WFP) Service. You will be a thought partner developing a capacity plan and forecast, and ensuring we exceed performance targets. We need an individual who dives deep into the data to help drive business decisions with AWS and HR senior leadership. You are going to help ProServe develop their overall workforce strategy as we continue to look at ways to gain efficiencies in areas like engagement management, contract creation and estimation, solution architecture, and other hub strategies.
Professional Services (ProServe) is the AWS consulting division responsible for providing strategic business solutions for end-to-end delivery to our customers for enterprise cloud adoption. The ProServe team strategically partners with customers to understand their current state, identify pain points, and then define and architect solutions that will meet their desired business outcomes.

Key job responsibilities
— Develop workforce models, improve performance strategies within the Solution Architect workforce.
–Forecast and plan capacity for worldwide employee populations for AWS ‘s ProServ business
— Cost and performance optimization for AWS with our industry’s global growth
— Manage headcount staffing that runs to tens of thousands supporting multiple business and geographies
— Develop forecasting models that captures the dynamics of our builder culture
— Build short/long term operational plans for different global sites/teams to optimize variable costs associated with staffing
— Improve performance to plan by identifying, measuring, and managing key metrics related to human capital
— Capture the right metrics to influence stakeholders and measure success
— Lead critical projects to improve planning and forecasting efficiency for global operations
— Promote process improvement and standardization of processes across all sites in the network
— Occasional travel to internal meetings and fact-finding sessions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in statistics, engineering, I/O psychology, mathematics, economics or MBA
8+ years of working within a related field
Experience setting technical requirements for process automation
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, expertise in deriving insights through data analysis. . Excellent attention to detail and the ability to dive deep into the data.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders and front line employees.
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment by combining analytical rigor and judgment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong commitment to exceptional customer experience, enthusiasm to drive positive change and persuasive ability
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (ability to present detailed technical analysis, assumptions, and recommendations succinctly)
• Experience planning in global supply chain planning or software operations
• Application of data mining/machine learning algorithms
• Experience with making large scale optimization and predictive models
• Some programming experience is a plus to automate tools whenever appropriate
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
