Background
The Authorized Training Partner (ATP) program is a key part of the GCR Training & Certification (T&C) business, training a significant proportion of AWS authorized classes every year across the Geo. The Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) not only sell training direct to their own customers, they are also the prime delivery mechanism for specific funded programs. The T&C sales coverage is extensively leveraged through the ATPs. Both the ATP business (indirect) and sales channel (direct) are set up to extend customer reach with the intent that both direct & indirect channels complement each other for the benefit of all AWS customers.
Job Description
You will be responsible for developing, managing and growing the Authorized Training Partner Program which involves planning your regional coverage and go-to-market model, and building the strategy which allows continued growth of our Training Partner Program. You will bring a depth of business leadership experience, including managing a P&L, that will be shared with the ATP leaders to align their strategic plans those of AWS. Your business leadership experience will bring you credibility with the ATP Principals and senior leadership. You will also develop mechanisms to encourage ATPs to drive AWS adoption and business development, supporting their go-to-market activities. You will have excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of partner programs in the IT sector. To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated, creative and a self-starter who is able to think big, execute flawlessly and stay focused on the details.
• Manage the ATP business in GCR, taking ownership of ATP performance metrics including students trained, revenue, partner adoption and growth.
• Take strategic leadership to ensure optimal balance between direct and indirect channels, realizing the overall vision and goals
• Own, define and develop the GCR ATP strategy that drives incremental growth for the whole GCR Training and Certification business
• Be a strategic advisor to Authorized Training Partner leaders
• Work with the partners building with them business plans, and establish effective gap plans that recover under-performing partners and regions.
• Work with the global ATP Go To Market team to ensure alignment with the global ATP vision, taking leadership and sharing best practices.
• Engage with the regional Training Managers across GCR to share the ATP vision and strategy, offering guidance and best practices to ensure all regions hit or exceed the ATP KPI’s.
• Enable mechanisms that ensure all T&C stakeholders are well informed of the performance of the ATP business.
• Develop strong relationships with partners, executive management and sales and marketing teams and introduce a regular review cycle to support their growth
• Work with local marketing teams, channel managers, field account managers and regional Training & Certification lead to support your business
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8-10+ years in Information Technology
• At least 2 years of P&L ownership
• 3+ years channel management experience
• 3+ years in an IT services management role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A good understanding of the Training Partner Channel Management, preferably within the IT Training Industry.
• Working in IT Training company experience
• An understanding of cloud technologies and distributed computing at a high level and relate back to curriculum
• The capability to logically plan and set priorities, identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results
• Experience in digital learning
