AWS Greater China Marketing Tech Team is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to start a new product innovation with strategic significance and high exposure. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) who will be passionate about designing, building and operating brand-new distributed systems on scalable, agile, and secure cloud-native foundation to benefit marketers in Great China region and beyond. You will be responsible for system design, development, code reviews, peer mentoring, release processes, and system monitoring. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with excellent attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The right candidate will possess proven software engineering skills, with experience creating and launching large distributed systems with the help of a team.

To achieve that, we are systematically investing in local product innovation, and aspire to build a full set of state art of Marketing solutions in response to local customer behaviors and in compliance with both internal and external security and regulatory requirements. Our Marketing proactively engages with customers to educate and foster interest, aid fulfilling their registration and trial. We do this by driving awareness and discovery of AWS’ products and enabling timely actions. We meet customers at their channel(s) of preference with the most relevant content at the right time and frequency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with at least one object oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• 3+ years experience building and deploying distributed solutions on AWS infrastructure, owning the system from design through production support
• Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial web-based services.
• Experience with web frameworks, for example, React, Angular, Spring etc.
• Experience with Content Management System
• Experience in 3rd party system integrations
