Job summary
The AWS team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Product Manager to innovate and deliver a unified content management system for efficient content creation, management, and distribution for customers. It’s a greenfield project where you’ll have the opportunity to engage with Sr. leadership, customers, and partners to deliver the right experience.

• Innovate on behalf of customers
• Lead the creation of product strategy and vision

A day in the life
You have a rare opportunity to own, define, and drive the end to end experience for content creators via a structured authoring tool, and a self-service publishing engine to preview, publish, and distribute technical documentation. You possess an established product management track record, demonstrated experience launching mission-critical systems, and a well-rounded technical background in current cloud and web technologies.
You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
About the team
The focus of the AWS Content and Knowledge Engineering (CKE) team is to provide cloud knowledge management infrastructure to global customers, with the overarching goal of assisting AWS users with access to authoritative cloud knowledge. We deliver optimized knowledge experience for our customers by using innovative AWS technologies e.g., knowledge graph and ML models.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Computer Science, or related field and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) preferred and/or, relevant experience
• 5+ years of product management experience, including strong track record of shaping business strategy for technical products or services and ability to align software teams and senior leadership around the product vision
• 3+ years of experience in a technical product leadership role within the cloud, content management and publishing tools, knowledge management, or other related domains.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience creating services offerings for Enterprise level customers
• Experience in management of content strategies including content creation, content tagging, content publishing, and metadata strategies
• Experience in creating and refining content products to meet customer needs; acquiring customer feedback to drive innovation
• Experience in HTML, XML, and content management systems (CMS)
• Track record of shaping business strategy and roadmaps for technical products
• Ability to work with software development teams to launch and improve software applications
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to influence other teams
• Strong judgment and prioritization skills
• Meet/exceed Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meet/exceed Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $151,164- $204,515/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
